Important information

When should I reserve?

This is a very popular activity. Reservations for weekends, Christmas vacations, and anytime from mid-february to the last week of March should be made 1 or 2 weeks in advance. For any other time, reservations should be made a few days in advance.

How many people can go on one sled?

We usually configure 2 adults per sled (one driver, one passenger). Children between 4 and 11 years old go with the guides. Configuration also depends on the weather and snow conditions.

Is it hard on the dogs?

These dogs are canine athletes who are bred to pull and run in a cold environment. They are trained and fed properly to be able to do it well. They like pulling a sled as much as a retriever likes fetching a stick. This will become obvious just before the ride starts. Feel free to ask your guide anything you want about sled dogs… learning about the dogs is an interesting part of the experience.

Do we drive our own sled?

Yes, each participant over 90lbs will have a chance to drive the sled. The reason for the weight restriction is to be able to apply enough pressure when needed on the brake to stop the dogs from moving forward.

Is it hard?

This dogsledding trip can be strenuous for drivers. It is a sport. As a driver you are part of the team, so when the climbs are steep the driver will have to get off and walk, jog or even help push the sled.

Why is there a Climate Surcharge during Christmas Holiday season?

Christmas periods with no snow, unusually warm weather, and rain are creating serious viability challenges. Outdoor operators in our area have come together to create a Climate Surcharge* to reservations from Dec. 20, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026, because it is no longer sustainable to run dogsledding activities, given the warming we are now experiencing. Dogsledding depend on many kilometers of snow covered trails, which we can no longer rely on for this peak 3 week period. This will help us cover revenue losses due to global warming, and preserve our activities so that guests can continue to enjoy them in the future. *This surcharge, along with the entire reservation amount, will be refunded if we have to cancel your tour. If you find this price high, know that we do too, and we recommend you come after January 5th when pricing returns to normal and the weather risk has passed.

More information

Imagine standing at the back of your own sled as a team of Nordic dogs pulls you along snowy forest trails. Our Valley Adventure takes place in Nominingue, 1h10 from the Tremblant resort, and we designed it for families and beginners.

When you arrive, our guides introduce you to the huskies of our pack and show you how to steer and brake your sled. At the 9:00 and 14:00 departures, you help harness the dogs. Two adults share each sled and can switch between driver and passenger along the way. Children 4 years old and up ride with a guide or a parent.

The 1h ride includes a sheltered stop with hot chocolate and maple cookies. Back at our base, you pet the dogs and warm up with a hot bowl of soup. Transport from the Tremblant resort is available for the 9:00 and 14:00 departures. Reserve early, as weekends and holidays fill up weeks in advance.
